Today we went to the womens prison where our friend James works at and spent some time with the female prisoners...we weren't allowed to take pictures so thats why there aren't any...sorry

From the prison we had to rush home and get everything we needed because we were meeting all the Oasis kids at Lydia's house to hang out and have lunch...

Steward, Joseph, Moses, and I played basketball for a while before we made lunch..Then lunch began and it was downhill from there...

Again, with the 'stache

We didnt have much water to work with so our pasta ended up being some sort of noodle goo with random crunchy pieces...oh and not to mention that Kenyans HATE pasta sauce...Note to self, don't ever cook pasta sauce for Kenyans...They won't eat it...We had a hunch going into it, but had to make it just to be sure...we were right...

None the less, Steward helped me prepare the sauce, he's going to be a Member of Parliment as well as a Chef

Allison & Joseph...

Evans, I just love him...this is us in a time of peace...

Which always leads to this...Thankfully there were no bloody noses in the end...

I'm not quite sure what Allison and Edwin are up to...

I opened Garage Band on my computer and had the guys sing a little...

The reverse 'stache...

I have several comment to make:

1. You neglected to "credit" one of the most popular items in the house....the green stretchy frog (and his not pictured friends...the yellow frog and the snake)....Mr. Frog can be seen in photo one with you and Joseph. I brought a zillion cool things and these .99 cent items picked up while in the checkstand late one night at Albertson's won the prize. Kids...go figure. I am happy to see that they are still providing delight. Note: Elvis is scared stupid of the rubber snake...you MUST bring it along on visitors day at the High School (and tell him I said so!)

2. Actually, Kenyan kids love pasta sauce....but, you need to make it out of fresh stuff....saute onions and fresh garlic and add diced tomatoes and shredded zucchini and even carrots. It was a HUGE hit night after night when I was there. And....next time go for penne or elbow macaroni...much less of a sticky mess. Maybe mama is just a better cook....oh sorry....I keep typing the thoughts that are better kept in my head. :)

3. Question: WHY isn't there water in the house? AGAIN?!?!?!? ARGHHHH!!!!

4. Tell Steward to use a cutting board next time (there are about 6 in one of the drawers on the sink side of the kitchen).

5. David NEVER eats anything except:boiled milk, biscuits, chocolate, the occasional banana and rice. You can sure tell that HE was never a street boy...picky, picky, picky!

6. No pics of the SKY Guy?

THANK YOU for spending the day with the kids! Steward had said that he wasn't sure if I would want everybody there and I told him that I want the house full of love and laughter...and he said "OH...By the way...that is GOOD mom!"

corrections:

I finally enlarged the pics (because I was saving them into my iphoto library) and I saw:

1. Steward ( I REFUSE to say Stewie) WAS using a cutting board. Sorry and I love him.

2. Johnstone's pasta in the garageband pic looks REALLY gooy and disgusting when you enlarge the pic.

3. The comment about David should have gone on Allison's blog about the day along with the pathetic photo of him pouting on the floor.

The end....

BTW...the Fiesta was tasty. I am determined to learn to make corn tortillas from hard corn before I come back so that I can have an alternative to greasy chapati,
